Researchers identify biomarkers for lung cancer in smokers.
Succeeded to identify smoking-related lung cancer has a pair of specific proteins of prognostic markers Mayo Clinic researchers have shown. Protein — ASCL1 — is associated with increased expression of RET gene, called the RET of certain cancer-causing gene. The findings appear in the online issue of the journal genes.
